Vanguard Airlines announced today that it will initiate twice-daily service to New Orleans International Airport starting August 1, 2000. The two daily nonstop flights from Kansas City will provide direct service between New Orleans and both Denver and Minneapolis with connecting service available from Chicago-Midway. Fares from Kansas City will start as low as $89 each way, which is a 30 percent savings from the lowest fare currently offered by other airlines.
