National Airlines announced that it will introduce a systemwide fare sale beginning April 12, 2000, for travel between April 26, 2000, and Oct. 13, 2000.
Fares begin as low as $68 (a) round trip between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and as low as $278 (a) round trip coast-to-coast. The sale ends April 24, 2000.
Mark S. Suman, senior vice president - marketing and strategic planning, said: "National's fare sale clearly provides travelers with a tremendous window of opportunity, particularly when you consider that we continue to offer free stopovers in Las Vegas." Suman explained that travelers flying on National coast-to-coast are able to stop in Las Vegas for as long as they choose for no additional fee. "It's like taking two trips for one incredible price," he added.
"Since we began flying less than one year ago, it has always been our intent to bring back quality service to the airline industry. We have made significant strides in this area by offering more legroom, quality meals and a wide variety of other customer amenities, things some of our competitors are only now starting to consider," Suman concluded.
National Airlines operates an all-Boeing fleet of 757 jet aircraft serving Chicago Midway, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Philadelphia and San Francisco with nonstop flights to its Las Vegas hub. The average age of the carrier's fleet is under six years. Each aircraft is comfortably equipped with 175 seats, including 22 in first class.
