Wings Alliance - More potential partners...View Full Version : More potential partners... "I had always assumed that the Karabu agreement was causing significant damage to TWA's bottom line. I spoke to someone who would be in a position to know the details a couple of weeks ago, and the information I was given was that Karabu was causing a loss of about $11 million per quarter. If that number is correct, eliminating Karabu is not going to restore TWA to profitability. Regarding a merger or codeshare, I'm convinced that this is the only way that TWA can survive. The management needs to act quickly to ink a codesharing agreement this year. While stranger things have happened, I suspect that AWA and the Wings alliance are the only candidates for this merger. Let's just say that as a TWA pilot, I'm concerned enough about the situation and the lack of action by the IAM to consider leaving to take a position with a commuter airline." Comments anyone ?
