Washington Post Article (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A17599-2004Feb5.html)

"The Transportation Security Administration has asked the news media to delete from their archives two pages of unclassified congressional testimony from a public hearing in November on airport security."

From the archives??

Once again, the TSA shows its prowess in attempting to slam the barn door shut long after the horse has departed.

Only the TSA can make something that the rest of the world had ignored or forgotten reappear by way of trying to squash it. To wit:

Guns slip past airport screeners (http://www.rochesterdandc.com/news/02062H36LR2_news.shtml) U.S. agents sneaked weapons through twice; Rochester official says result is better security

By Steve Orr

(February 6, 2004) — Screeners at Rochester’s airport failed to detect handguns concealed by undercover agents in two security tests last year.

The tests occurred when members of a U.S. Transportation Security Administration “red team” — agents who test airport security by trying to breach it — smuggled handguns through a screening checkpoint at Greater Rochester International Airport. News of the failed tests, first reported on Congressional Quarterly’s Web site, emerged amid Washington brouhaha over public disclosure of the test results.

Just another example that the TSA is just really "eye candy". Too many people hired too quickly without proper training and now safe in their jobs protected by Mr. Ridge even when incidents occur.
