"Edwards took the delay in stride, joking, "We must look dangerous." We believe a spokeswoman's assertion that the delay "was not in any way connected with any political agenda." No, slavish adherence to procedure is the culprit. The president gets to fly TSA-free in Air Force One, but the other presidential candidates depend on civilian charter aircraft to reach the scattered primary states. The spokeswoman did concede that there were "viable options that could have mitigated these circumstances that weren't utilized." By all means, in the future, utilize."

Remember the stupidity, Senator Edwards. Remember it well.

I seem to recall once watching an aviation documentary where some Russian reporters were, but that still did not stop them from later commandeering the VC-25 in the film.

CX played the aviation documentary about Air Force One from Discovery and it is excellent. It talked about all of AF-1's activities since its inception. Clinton was most opened. The docu ends of course with Bush Jr. inside.....a serious decline in human intellegence, comparing all of his predecessors. Sorry, Mr. President Bush Jr.....a Space Shuttle has to be on top in order to go to the moon.

I think it is stupd to wand the candidates. They are not likely to find anything more damaging than a stained dfress http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif. Those who supported creation of an agwency such as TSA deserve to be wanded. Only then may we have any hopes of things changing. I am afraid, if one of these guys wins, they will probably forget the indignation we all suffer at the hannds of TSA.

They who created the TSA deserve a lot more than being wanded. Well, maybe if the wand was inserted, rather than merely waved over the offenders, it might be appropriate.
