Newsstand - Inquiry faults airport screeners’ tests

"The written tests given potential baggage screeners at airports never asked applicants to show they could identify dangerous objects inside luggage. In addition, screeners hired by the government to check baggage for bombs were given most of the answers to the tests, according to an internal investigation by the Homeland Security Department...

...Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, a member of the Senate committee that oversees aviation, urged Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge and TSA chief James Loy to look into the matter."

Scumbag Loy doesn't care. He's got his own "safety" agenda: harass the passengers, provide illusion of safety, loot the public. The only message he should be receiving is: "you're fired or better yet "you're under arrest".

It is true that we were given the answers, but if you had seen the test, none of that was necessary. The test was a joke, any 3rd grader could pass it without problem.

One of the question's was:

Why should the TSA screen baggage for bombs?

A)The batteries may leak and damage other passenger's luggage.
B)The wires may cause problems with the aircraft wiring systems.
C)The bomb may cause death and damage to passengers and the aircraft.
D)Passengers may become worried about the sound of the ticking clock.
