I was talking with a coworker of mine today informing him that I had decided to postpone my trip to London next week. He told me that was a very wise decision. He had just returned from a trip to Vienna with a stopover in London. He proceeded to tell me that he had many angry comments made to him and his wife while he was was there. During their deplaneing off a British Airways flight, he asked the gate agent a question and this agent refused to answer him because he was American. My friend approached him again and this gate agent just walked away stating "this conversation is over"!

What do you all think about this?

I think that given the number of things that happen every day, everywhere, that any random event is possible, but I would surprised if this were more than a highly isolated anecdote.

I just returned from a week in London and was treated great by everyone ( except by one desk clerk with bad math skills, but doubt that was because I'm American)I had a lot of conversations about the war and all were civil. you will find a$$holes in every country. Roadshow
