I wasn't sure what to make of this at first. This is due to WEATHER at DIA, not bankruptcy ;-)

UA should say:
Due to SNOW, not bankruptcy or insolvency or wanting to avoid lienholders and creditors lurking there who would seize our planes in a heartbeat, all flights out of DIA are cancelled due to SNOW and NOTHING ELSE BUT SNOW. Did we mention snow? Bankruptcy, avoiding our creditors and lienholders, are NOT RESPONSIBLE and it is JUST SNOW. Okay.
Just snow.

I don't know when they did it but someone at UA finally got a clue. The relevant banner on their site now says this:

I found a snooze story that said...

United has canceled all of its DIA flights until noon Thursday.
However, United Airlines said that DIA may open one runway at midnight to relieve the congestion at the airport. If that happens, United will deploy some of the 74 planes it has waiting at DIA, but because the FAA requires a certain number of crew members to fly with passengers, these planes will be empty.</font>
