Newsstand - It's back in demand- - yes, duct tape
A little off topic, but from the high alert given, and a statement from US Fire administrator David Paulison's regarding "protect your homes with plastic and duct tape in case of a biological attack" sent duct tape into high demand. Both of those press releases sent the markets hurling down, especially airlines. I found this to be a little funny, to tell you the truth. Stores were reporting being sold out of duct tape. Hope it provides a little laughter to an otherwise gloomy week.

There's a saying I heard once- If it needs fixing, bring out the duct tape. United sure has heard of it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

If you see Osama, wrap him in duct tape and call your local police.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Even if by some incredible circumstance you were able to make a room in your house completely airtight and keep out the bugs, you'd die of asphyxiation in the three days you'd have to wait in there. Absotivley, Posilutely Rucking Fidiculous.
Absurd? That's what I thought! -- What percentage of people would turn on the AC/heat when it got too hot/cold?
*This* "security" measure is obviously sponsored by the American Duct Tape Council!

As president of the American Duct Tape Council I can assure everyone that this allegation is absurd!

If you are going to stay there for three days, you better make sure that room is the bathroom http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

My parents just re-did all my childhhood home's bathrooms in Wisconsin. They are absolutely spectacular and I would not mind spending days in there. I guess I just need to get some food and bottled water in there and some duct tape and plastic and I should be fine. With the wireless internet connection for the laptop, I can even remain on Flyertalk while under siege. ;-)

Just remember that you'll only have about 5 hours of air supply!
