"It is not comforting to know that our "first line of defense" in the air war on terrorism is semi-permeable. It doesn't comfort us that months after the TSA's takeover of our airports, workers still don't know that they should chase down people who race past the security barriers."

I wouldn't blame the workers (all of whom should be retrained, demoted, or fired); this is the fault of management. Who runs this operation?

On the other hand, who cares? One woman wanting to get by checkpoint charlie does not make another 911.
