Alaska, meet the AeroCat, a 21st-century version of the zeppelin that Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen landed in Teller in 1926. The new one has the body of a blimp, the aerodynamic lift of a wing, propellers to speed it through the air and a payload of 27 tons. It can land on land, water or ice, needs almost no runway and, unlike the Hindenburg, can't explode.
