Idiots! The reason the guy was able to keep walking was likely that the other screeners were busy randomly harassing passengers who did not beep!

I can't believe they still have these terminal clearing incidents. You'd think they'd get a little more clued in on how to stop people running or walking past by now.

Or respond more appropriately. Does anyone really believe that these people who walk on by are dangerous -- or dangerous enough to justify such a reaction?

This type of incident will continue to happen with the "security" many of these individuals are providing. In July at metal detectors in BOS there were 5, yes 5 of the the screeners standing around talking having a grand old time paying attention to nothing. After going through I stopped for a few second as I was so incredulous that they were not paying attention at all(they were obviously supposed to be watching this area). As I stood there looking at them they just continued on like a bunch of clucking hens. Yeah, nice security, I feel real good in BOS.
