Frequent flyer guide dog joins BA's executive club
A guide dog that flies regularly from Southampton to Scottish football matches has joined BA's executive club.
Golden labrador Iris and owner David Stafford regularly complete the 860-mile round trip to watch Queen's Park at Hampden.
Partially-sighted David has been following Scottish football for 23 years. He used to support Clydebank.
A BA spokesman told the Daily Echo: "To the very best of our knowledge Iris is the only dog in the executive club.
"Members are entitled to preferential treatment in terms of booking seats and access at the airport."
David, who's registered blind, has friends in the crowd who tell him what's going on, though he can see enough to know which part of the ground the action is in.
"David really gets involved and when you've only got five, six or seven hundred supporters that helps," said
Queen's Park Supporters' Association secretary, Keith McAllister.
