Concorde Returns With Engine Glitch
In the latest glitch for the world's only supersonic passenger jet, a British Airways Concorde turned back from a London-to-New York flight Monday after experiencing engine trouble 11 miles above the Atlantic Ocean.
The plane landed safely at Heathrow Airport, and the airline said there were no injuries and the 59 passengers and crew members were never at risk. It was the second engine problem for the aging aircraft in the eight months since Concorde returned to the skies following a crash near Paris that killed 113 people.
