Bomb threat temporarily closes airport in BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

The city's airport was evacuated Saturday after a man claimed to have explosives in his luggage, but army bomb experts found nothing, and the airport was reopened.

The man, whose identity was not disclosed, went to the ticket counter of Finnish airline Finnair and threatened to detonate explosives in his bag if he did not get a free ticket, said police spokeswoman Gail Van Hoever.

doc: I'm sure you intended to mention where this happened either in the thread title or the text? From reading the link, I now know it happened in BELGIUM, but I shouldn't have had to try so hard. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Rich! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Corrected and bolded in an effert to be more clear. Sadly, the title still lacks a location.

We ALL know very well that this would never happen here in the US however! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
