When I was much younger a favorite date was to go to the airport to watch the planes take off. We would go as a group and talk about all the wonderful exotic places we would see some day. Part of what we enjoyed was looking at the displays. They are far more wonderful now. But the museum idea has been there for over 30 years.

forgot to add that I grew up in Menlo Park just south of SFO.
