CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- One month doesn't make a trend, but there are new signs that on-line travel spending is weakening.
The latest signal comes from results of the Forrester Online Retail Index. It showed that from April to May, total U.S. spending on line dipped from $4.3 billion to $3.9 billion -- and the decrease was attributed largely to slumping travel bookings.
