Water conservation advocates are blasting a national hotel chain that today plans to formally introduce dual shower heads that will be installed in 32,000 rooms nationwide to give guests a more lavish deluge. "It's the wrong idea at the worst time," says Adan Ortega, vice president for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a water agency consortium serving 17 million. "Here's one instance where Corporate America is defying common sense."
