Feasibility of airport rail links in doubt

A YEAR-long feasibility study into rail links for Glasgow and Edinburgh airports could backfire, industry sources warned last night.

They declared prospects of links appear slim because passenger numbers and revenue will not justify the expense.

They also pointed to estimates that fewer than two out of 10 travellers using Prestwick Airport, which has a rail link, arrive or depart by train.
