Resurfacing of the runways at Heathrow Airport will begin near the end of April, 2001. Do you think one should expect delays on late-night and early-morning flights?

London Heathrow has lost its status as Europe's premier airport and is "not even the second or third best" in Europe, having been overtaken by Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam in recent years, British Airways (BA) CEO Rod Eddington said today.

OVERCROWDING at British airports is endangering the economy, the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer has said.
Other European airports are expanding to accommodate the increase in business travellers, but Heathrow is losing its lead because the political dispute over building more terminals and runways has left it unable to meet demand.
