Jupiter Media Metrix Inc. found that monthly traffic to airline sites increased 26.1 percent, to 10.4 million visitors, in February, from 8.2 million in February 2000.
Traffic to online travel agencies grew just 7 percent, but the number of overall visitors remained far greater than the number visiting airline-run sites. About 15.4 million people visited online travel agencies in February, compared with 14.4 million in the same month a year ago, according to the survey.
