A little luck and a well-trained dog helped police bust what they believe is the largest single marijuana haul -- 315 pounds -- ever found at San Francisco International Airport over the weekend.
The pot was discovered Saturday morning after three large suitcases belonging to a New York woman were pulled aside for a random X-ray screening, said San Francisco Police Officer Henry Friedlander, spokesman for the department's airport bureau, .
"She was just an unlucky passenger," Friedlander said.
An X-ray technician became suspicious after noticing one of the bags was filled with a single, solid mass -- not clothing or other items normally found in a New York-bound passenger's luggage.
