Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, sent a letter to nine major U.S. airlines urging they spell out passengers' legal rights on the Internet, a place travelers are increasingly turning to for up-to-the-minute information in the wake of growing flight delays and cancellations.

I have communicated with a number of airlines asking why they don't post their Contract of Carriage on their internet sites, all I've gotten are some pretty lame excuses.

To the best of my knowledge there is no airline that makes it's C of C available on the web.

Oregon's own socialist strikes again.

I wish he'd do something really meaningful for the people who elected him, such as supporting the citizen initiative to allow full deductability of federal taxes on our state income taxes. But noooooooo ... that would be too constructive.

Not that Oregon's own Christian statist is any better.

Don't you deduct Oregon state income taxes from your federal income?

During his race for the senate, Wyden was challanged by a reporter to find Bosnia on a world map. He couldn't.

Not the brightest light in the universe if you ask me.

Consumer group proposals include a "Truth in Scheduling Rule", requiring airlines to notify passengers of the on time statistic of chronically delayed flights and to eliminate deceptively scheduled flights (i.e. those late or canceled more than 80 percent of the time).

That would be bad news for HP, doc.

Folks higher up than him probably couldn't do much better... "Bosnia?? Isn't that the scale thingy at the bottom?"
