Passengers beginning their journey at Frankfurt Airport (airport code = FRA) will now benefit from new optimised check-in procedures and additional check-in facilities implemented at Departures A and B of Terminal 1 -- Frankfurt Airport's busiest terminal areas. Effective immediately, these departing passengers can only use the check-in halls of Departures A and B and can no longer go directly to the departure gates in Piers A and B to check in and receive their boarding cards. All departing passengers entering Piers A and B now require a valid boarding card. At Pier C of Terminal 1 and Piers D and E of Terminal 2, departing passengers can still enter with either a valid airline ticket or boarding card.
