Newsstand - FAA Administrator to Discuss Flight Paths Over Marin

Marin County supervisors will meet with Federal Aviation Administrator Jane Garvey tomorrow to discuss possible route changes to divert airplanes from flying directly over the county. Marin residents have complained of noise pollution from planes taking off and landing at San Francisco International Airport. Citizens for Responsible Aviation say pilots ignore flight plans and fly dangerously low over houses at all hours of the night. The group also protests the proposed expansion of Gnoss Field which is to date uncontrolled.
