Unruly passenger diverts plane, faces charge of harassing crew

A Buffalo Grove man was in federal custody Tuesday in Alaska, after authorities said he created such a disturbance on a airplane to Hong Kong that the pilot decided to divert the flight.
Steven Tabloff, 44, was described by authorities as a drunken passenger who spat on other passengers, screamed obscenities, tore a flight attendant's telephone from the wall and tussled with the crew of a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Hong Kong.
