Rescue crews abandoned their efforts to find a construction worker trapped for more than a day by the collapse of a pedestrian tunnel being built at Washington Dulles International Airport.
Crews spent all day yesterday excavating the collapsed area of the tunnel where 50-year-old Robert Parson was last seen, but they were unable to locate him, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said in a statement.
