A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight from Sydney, Australia to Singapore was forced to turn back and land at Brisbane airport today after the pilot noticed a fault in one of the Boeing 777-300's engines.

The aircraft was three hours into its flight when the generator fault was noticed by the pilot and according to a statement released by SIA, 'As a precautionary measure, the captain turned back and landed the plane in Brisbane for a mechanical inspection.'
