American Airlines and American Eagle have made adjustments to their Caribbean flight schedules as Tropical Storm Debby gathered speed through the region. Debby strengthened from a into a hurricane early this morning and threatened several northeast Caribbean islands still recovering from last year's storm damage http://news.airwise.com/stories/2000/08/966940070.html

Yes, Taiwan is now facing a major threat tonight, as the typhoon will be closest to Taiwan tonight... (of course as I am writing this email...) The Eastern part of Taiwan seems to face the most major threat... Anyway, today, BA cancelled its only flight to TPE, and both CI and CX have cancelled most of the flights throughout the day and the last flight to TPE left HOng Kong at 7pm. But no plane is getting into Kaoshung tonight, especially CI uses Boeing 737-800 mostly on that route.

Trust me... flying is definitely not a good idea to fly... even the airline tells you it is safe. No way...

Hopefully the typhoon will leave Taiwan tonight and not much damage will be done...
