ABC News is reporting that a Northwest DC-10 enroute from LAX was landed safely in MSP by the remaining pilots in the flight crew after the Captain passed out, apparently due to a heart attack, during the flight. The Associated Press reports that the plane's Captain was pronounced dead upon arrival at MSP.

Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased pilot 53-year-old Capt. Thomas Christianson. And the two other pilots took over immediately on the Sunday night flight and did a fine job.
