Well, I took my first flight this past weekend since the attack. Some noticible changes onboard. I was in first class and noticed the FA would not allow any passengers to stand in front of the lav. by the cockpit. You had to wait at your seat until it was free. Also, they made an announcement that the lav up front was for first class passengers only. I've never seen Alaska do that before. Seems like they are trying to limit traffic around the cockpit door. Also, the FA said they had to keep the curtain open between the two cabins. She also said she got some heat from coach passengers about having to go to the back to use the lav, especially when the cart was in the aisle. It felt great to be back in the air though!

I think AS has done some very good things in addressing security. Good to hear that they are restricting front lav to FC passengers. I'm sure I'll be cursing that policy when I'm in row six and have a need to heed nature's call. Wonder why the curtain has to remain open. I guess for any air marshall on board needs a clear line of sight to the cockpit door.

I thought the same thing about the lav! It's great when you're up front but I'm going to be crabby when I'm in coach.
