MilesBuzz! - NW-UA Compete w/cheap fares

UA and Northwest are having battles over cheap seats to anywhere in Florida (but Miami. Check out these cheap seats. Travel must be complete by 9/28/00.

Just call this an old fashioned hub shotout!

DTW-FLL

Plus the NW-DL one that's been going on all year out of each other's hubs.

Cheap fares out of DEN, but you must fly on NW; cheap fares on UA, but you must fly out of DTW. I wouldn't consider either a win-win situation...but the fares are great. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

How about DEN-FLL (or any of the others for $98) on NW with connex thru MEM and triple miles for $98? It doesn't get much better than that.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Denver to Memphis non stop not applicable to these fares.

I looked on the UAL website but did not find any reference to this deal. Does anyone have the links to NW and UA?

I have looked on the following web site: UAL, NWA & ITN there is no reference to the DTW-FLL or DEN-FLL fares. If anyone knows where to look, please post it. Thank you

All the qualifying NW flights out of Denver are on CO metal via IAH.

I found them on travelocity using the best fare finder.

I just tried DEN-TPA and was routed like this:

DEN-MEM-TPA-MSP-DEN for $114.80 (no DTW, yeah!)

Availability is very limited though!

Booked mine over the NW website. TPA to DEN
$114.00 total. 4,000 miles for first time web booking too.

The only segment I could get for the last 2 days out of Detroit is DTW-JAX FOR $78. Travelocity doesn't even show the fares anymore except for the JAX segment.
