The millionth member wins a million. For existing members a random draw (so our chance is one in just under a million) to win a million. The 100k draw is drawn from entries guessing the suburb of the millionth member - multiple entries allowed.

I wonder how many computer people will be creting a little program to register themselves over and over again so as that they have a better chance of being the millionth. My money is on the 1M being outside NZ!

If you read the T&C the millionth member winner cant previously have enrolled. Also you must be eligible to join Airpoints in the first place.

The $50 NZ joining fee is deterrent enough for me

...Actually, anyone who's not an NZ resident is out of luck. The Aust. site doesn't have any reference to the comp., so I checked the T&Cs, and right at the beginning:

Entry is only open to New Zealand residents

This also applies to the existing members draw, so they've got something against us Aussies!

The millionth member has now joined airpoints.

As she was from Chch I didnt guess the right suburb in any of my guesses. The winner of 1 million airpoints for existing members is to be announced today.

I havent seen anything about the winners, other than the millionth member.

Highpoints announces the winner as Mr Sheader.
