Air New Zealand Air Points - AC *G - valid until "02/2004" = lounge access in Feb?

That rather cryptic subject means this:

Am *G on Air Canada at the moment. According to membership card, it says it expires 02/2004. But does that mean I can still get lounge access on my upcoming DUD-CHC-BNE flight next week? According to the Aeroplan site, the benefit period is from March 1 to the end of Feb the next, but does NZ know this?

I'm going Priority Pass beginning in March cuz I won't make *G for 2004. Crud.

Your status is definitely valid until the end of February, and it should be showing up as such on NZ's systems so I doubt you'll have any problems.

What does Priority Pass cost and what does it buy you?

I have had *G on AC for five years and never had a problem getting into any *G lounge close to the expiry date on the card.
The expiry date printed on the card is interpreted as meaning "valid until the end of 02/04" and apparently all *A airlines follow the same policy.

Thanks - I won't worry as much.

Priority Pass: www.prioritypass.com (http://www.prioritypass.com)

US$99 / year, but US$25 per lounge visit

or

US$250 / year with 10 free visits (that's going on memory though).

It's useless within NZ because the domestic lounges don't recognise Priority Pass, but it is recognised lots of other places that I will likely be flying.

The alternative is to join the International Airline Passengers Association (www.iapa.com) which includes a membership to priority pass. Looks kinda interesting.
