I will be in Australia again for 3 weeks and have to see a client in AKL, I just need to sign some papers and intend to do a same day turnaround
SYD-AKL-SYD.

Is there any problems coming back into Australia in the same day as you leave?

More customs and imigration?.

I've never had any problems, though the level of questioning might depend a little on where your passport's from.
You don't have to pay AKL departure tax for stays of less than 24 hours either, though this isn't really advertised.

It is fairly common for business people to do 1-2 day turn arounds (also people on a one night stop on SYD/AKl/LAX), so unless there is something 'different' about your passport it will just be stamped and processed without the batting of an eyelid.

Where's the best place to stay in Auckland...

Either the Sheraton or Hilton?.

Any any good resturant suggestion?

I'd recommend the Hilton - gorgeous location (actually ON a wharf), nice views, closer to the shopping areas and a less arduous walk (the Sheraton is at the top of Queen Street, which itself is on a steep slope - and when you're heading back to the hotel with your arms full of shopping, it can seem like ascending Everest!

AKL Hilton was one of the top 3 properties I've stayed at as part of the Hilton chain.

Starwood is my preferred chain. But in AKL, I defect to the Hilton.
