Air New Zealand Air Points - Best Seat 767.300View Full Version : Best Seat 767.300 MRSTARALLIANCE Jun 9, 03, 1:07 am Hi all, What are the best flights on the 767.300's? Many thanks Dave airnzboy Jun 9, 03, 11:48 pm Dave, the limited information I have to hand is.. 763 Best seats: 10 AB 18AB & JK (Exit) 19AB & JK(Exit) Less desirable seats: 9JK 16DEF 17JK 38AB & JK It doesn't specify why the seats are good/bad however. ------------------ All my posts are my own personal opinions and experiences and in no way represent the opinon of my employer. MRSTARALLIANCE Jun 9, 03, 11:58 pm Thankyou ever so much. Thats fantastic http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Wongo Jun 10, 03, 4:21 am Is the 767-300 the same as the 767-300/ER? I'll be on NZ 71 and 70 in the next Thurday and the Friday after that on business class. I've decided to use my upgrade (Jade http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) because checking itn.net , there is no one booked on J that day and 4 seats booked on the return. So can anyone tell me whats the best seat on these flights please. Or I can chose any seat because it is the same?? Plus the J class is pretty empty. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif Cheers in advance. Wongo MRSTARALLIANCE Jun 10, 03, 6:08 am Im on the HKG flight Wongo, email me mad_atta Jun 10, 03, 6:16 am Best J seats are rows 2 or 3 (row 1 is bulkhead with less legroom - or perhaps just perception? - and risk of babies being closer; row 4 is last row with less recline). Row 2 is closer to front, so tends to get served first, but also closer to those potential babies... but not much in it really. If you're an aisle seat person, go for E or F, as your seat mate (if you have one) also has an aisle so no need to climb over you. Enjoy those flights in J! Wongo Jun 10, 03, 4:09 pm You are one of the 2 that is booked and has a seat reserved! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif on the return leg. OMG this is a small world http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif Originally posted by MRSTARALLIANCE: Im on the HKG flight Wongo, email me Wongo Jun 10, 03, 9:13 pm Will they not upgrade me if I am the only Pax on J? The bast*ds has took my points already but my TA told me that I will not know until just before I board http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif I think because I am lowly Jade with no Koru Club... Anyone got comments? airnzboy Jun 10, 03, 10:30 pm Wongo, when Jade members are requesting an upgrade, it is always subject to seat availability at checkin - as per your member's handbook. Obviously, if J is nearly empty, then you have nothing to worry about. ------------------ All my posts are my own personal opinions and experiences and in no way represent the opinon of my employer. Wongo Jun 11, 03, 3:54 am Cheers, I was worried that AirNZ will do a cheapy and not open business class 4 my upgrade because my fares was.... $800 NZD b4 tax. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif (and I am the only one), then again... there could be few other Jades on that flight too http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif.... hmmm, I am starting to like my boss's TA, she did a dam good job on getting that flight and fare for me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Mr.Staralliance Jun 11, 03, 4:03 am Wow All these Kiwi Flyertalkers, were really building up, its fantastic http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I was thinking of putting together a little dinner somewhere, similar to what they do in the states. Fantastic to finally get to know you all a little better. Best wishes Dave Wongo Jun 11, 03, 4:22 am Read the QF forum from time to time, they do have FT meetings in QC in Oz. now thats good, if we have 10-20 of us, we can call ourself a lobby group. Got comments? og Jun 11, 03, 6:09 am 19AB/JK is much better than 18 AB/JK. Same wing exits, but better legroom. igel Jun 11, 03, 11:05 pm I can second 10AB, 19AB and 19JK for Y class. Row 18 exit row seat-pairs are right behind the toilet bulkhead have limited legroom and people going to the Y toilets do hang around there. Last time I was on ZK-NCL in J class 4 weeks ago, row 4 did not appear to have a restricted recline, but in full recline, you may have problems also in pushing the head rest all the way up. ------------------ Qantas - Air New Zealand (edited for typos) [This message has been edited by igel (edited 06-11-2003).] air_boi Jun 13, 03, 12:49 am The best Y seats are definitely 19AB JK. Next best would be 18AB JK - but be wary, as some of the newer 767-300 have permanent seat recline lockouts fitted at 18AB JK. As for business class, 3AB would be the best - not too close the bassinets (forward to C bassinet, behind to Y bassinet) and C class service starts at 4AB. Wongo Jun 13, 03, 1:27 am My TA booked me 19J both ways if I did not get my upgrades. She is good! |
