Seeing as airnzboy slammed mad_atta for not posting trip reports (and it was a doozy of a slam, mate! On ya!), thought I would post my own trip report from a recent DUD-AKL-LAX-YUL return trip.
Actually, stuff the whole trip report thing, what I really wanna talk about are the apparently low loadings on the trans-Pacific flights, or least my perception of low loadings.
On the return leg from LAX (NZ5, 31 May), I had three seats to myself along (24H,I,J). One seat empty ahead of me, one seat empty behind me. Wandered to the back during the flight, and entire rows were taken up with horizontal pax. Wife was on the same flight the day before, and she saw the same thing. Anyone experienced the same?
FAs quite attentive throughout the flights on NZ (as usual). Glitches in the video systems were causing a bit of a panic, but they got it sussed in good time.
We're due for the same routing at Xmas, and I'm tired of Y on those trans-Pacific flights. It's the best Y going across the pacific, bar none, but I'm this close to purchasing C for the both of us and seeing what it's like.
