Air New Zealand Air Points - AP miles to upgrade on NZ trans-Pacific? Possible?

I know you can use AP (30,000) to upgrade on, for example, AKL-LAX, but can I use Aeroplan miles to do the same?

Doesn't seem possible according to the website, but wanted to see if anyone has done this.
