Air New Zealand Air Points - how to select a seat traveling on a United reward

This is the first time I have posted on Flyertalk so I am sorry if i make any mistakes.

here is my problem
I am flying on a United Airlines reward ticket from Per-Akl in bus, then flying from akl-rar in economy returning rar-akl in economy and then flying akl-mel in bus.
(couldn't get a full business reward ticket so had to settle for half of it)

I was wondering how I go about booking a particular seat on the flights listed above, and if anyone had any recommendations on best seats. the entire Itn is on a 763 if it helps.
I asked united when booking, but they were unsure how I would go about reserving a specific seat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Call the NZ 24-hour line on 13 24 76 and quote your flight number and date - they'll be able to allocate you a specific seat.

Although they tell you 'it is a request not a guarantee', 99% of the time you will receive the seat you requested. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

763s are lovely planes - 16 and 18 are the exit rows in Y, I think. Row 2 and 3 are good in J class.

I support that-easy ,just ring NZ Res and the seat allocations are done.
The best J seats for me on the 767 are row 2- close to the toilets ,good legroom and usually earlier service than the back.
