I can't seem to fins anywhere on the Airpoints website where is lays out the number of points required for redemption on Star Alliance partners. Can anyone tell me where to find this?

Also, what is people's experience in terms of how the Air New Zealand award levels compare to other airlines (Qantas, AA, UA, etc.).

Thanks for your advice.

Please be aware, Air NZ AirPoints members earn points in KMs, not miles. Though earning ability may be skewed on certain flights, ie in discount Y, you only earn 70% of the kms flown. Your earning capability should definitely be taken into consideration when evaluating the cost of awards.

Here is the award chart:

Upgrade from Economy to Business class is based on 'Z' class availability.

As of 1 May, it will be based on 'U' class availability. 'Z' class will be used to provide a third tire of Business class revenue fares, which is in harmony with other Star carriers.
