Air New Zealand Air Points - All economy trans-Tasman?

Went to book J class on Wlg/Mel flight 8 May & was told all Y class service (although looking at timetable, seems 8 May fight is only Y class, other daily flights ex Wlg JY) - is this happening on more than the odd flight - perhaps to do with 737s being converted to Express Class domestically and being used trans-Tasman now and again?

Anyway, it's due to maintenance requirements. There are only a few two-class 733s now (I think only 4), and they have quite a busy schedule, so when maintenance is scheduled, a 73D is substituted.
