Since my usual travel companions (my husband and/or children) have no interest in traveling on a breakneck itinerary through Central and South America to get the LP 500,000 bonus miles and the three friends who were interested were unable to register on the LP website the last day to sign up, I'm currently planning on making this trip solo. However if there are any women travelers of like mind I'd love to hear from you, since I know I'd at least like to feel like I can venture out from the hotel and feel more relaxed than I would just on my own. I have a travel agent that has put together a three day MIA based itinerary for mid June. Cost: around $1700 including the domestic flights that I will also need to qualify for the bonus miles.
