MilesBuzz! - DIET COKE CANCELS PROGRAM

Received an E-mail from Diet Coke Rewards program: they are cancelling the present program. We have until July 31, 2000 to continue to accumulate points and until Sept 30, 2000 to redeem all points. They state that "they are in the process of developing a new product that will add to the enjoyment of Diet Coke".

Holy Cow! I thought this was supposed to go for another 3 years! I assume this means that they won't be having another auction, and that they won't be putting energy into getting more rewards like they've been promising for months. This is going to get them one upset customer phone call. I have over 18000 points sitting there waiting to be used.

New news...

apparently, they will still be coming out with a new catalog in June, and there will be as new rewards, some spa rewards and also for 2700 points there will be some sort of $300 certificate for Royal Carribean. They will also be having an auction the second half of July.

I received my 10,000 Delta miles (2 5k certs) in a fed ex envelope yesterday. Took about 6 weeks to arrive.

You have to love places that take six weeks to get something out, then ship it overnight like it matters at that stage.
