Air New Zealand Air Points - PER-SYD-AKL??

Hi,

Last time I remember, flying from PER-AKL, the plane landed in SYD.

I'm curious whether there is an opportunity on a per-akl flight to stopover in SYD (on either or both ways?)

Is there any additional cost of points to do this?

NZ only fly PER/AKL/PER or vice versa and have never stopped in Sydney. Unless it was for mechanical reasons of course.

4-5 years ago they used to stop in BNE (hence the huge lounge) but not anymore.
