I've got an international ticket for from AKL to SIN on NZ23 depart 11:55

But I am now in Wellington. I am tempted to but Qantas QF4018, WLG-AKL arr AKL at 10:45.

This mean that I have 70mins to connect. Will it sufficient to connect? I will need to wait for my baggage at AKL, run across to international terminal, check in at NZ counter, pay airport tax, go through immigration, run to the gate.

QF4018 only cost 102NZ$. There are other earlier flights (QF & NZ), but it will cost me at least 270NZ$.

Can I check my luggage through at Wellington all the way to Singapore? If yes, can I also obtain my NZ23 bording pass at Wellington, so I don't have to queue up again at Auckland?

I would be very tempted by the cheaper price. Considering;

1. I do not think QF will transfer your bags, but they may, I know in Australia QF will check NZ bags straight through but not sure about in AKL. Someone could clarify this?
2. You can buy your departure tax at travel agents or with your ticket. Would be worth it to speed things up.
3. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to the international terminal. If you are running late you can get in the last corporate cab in the rank and they will take you over for $10-20 - you are still up! Note corporate and last cab, do not get in a normal cab who has been waiting 3 hours for a fare! and you want to go around the corner!
4. You could get to WLG early and see if you can jump on the earlier flight - NB QF are not supposed to with S, N or O fares - but they may look the other way or will charge you a $50 fee - you are still up. At leats that is what the sign behind the counter at AKL said yesterday.
5. You will not be able to collect your boarding pass in WLG - but could be worth a try from the International checkin - but I doubt it.

This is all assuming you have no status, with status it would be alot easier to do.
