Air New Zealand Air Points - Are they going to save Air New Zealand?

I have a big trip (1 1/2 months) coming up next week going all around the Pacific with Air New Zealand and I am worried that they might be going bankrupt.

Can anybody give me the latest information on the airline financial situation and future?

Are they only surviving because of the New Zealand government's financial help?

I hope they will not do like Ansett and disappear. They are a very nice airline and probably have the best Economy class among all airlines.
