Phones Programs/Partners - Sprint PCS earning FF miles?

Now that Sprint PCS is no longer awarding Northwest FF miles for monthly usage, I was told I could earn miles on Alaska Airlines. a) Are there any other airlines I can earn miles with Sprint PCS now? (I can't get a straight answer from PCS) and b) If I did join Alaska's FF program, is there any logical way to transfer their points to any other program that I could use since I live in Florida and rarely could use a route that Alaska Airlines serves?

That's funny - but not surprising judging from the bad advice I've gotten from Sprint reps before.
Sprint is now the exclusive program for United FF miles. I just got an offer in the mail from them for their at-home program, but I've seen PCS offers out there also.
Someone else here might be able to give us the URL?

Didn't Alaska announce recently new nonstop service from MCO to SEA? Would that help you?
The United/Sprint PCS promos I've seen mention that mileage is only for new customers. Has anyone with an existing PCS account been able to accumulate miles elsewhere than NW?

When I called to sign up for the long distance on sprint, I asked about the pcs I already had and they gave me 1000 miles and I will now get miles for my monthly bill http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.

Same thing here, and it even works with corporate discounts. I'm getting 8% off my bill and I got the 1000 plus 5/dollar spent. I'll be switching my LD back to sprint from MCI once I get the MP Visa in the mail (10k in 6 months, I think)

I had the same experience, but only the 1000 posted (on USAir). No monthly useage mileage yet, and its been about 4 months!

I am VERY frustrated trying to get Sprint to post miles on United. So far, all I have is the postcard saying they do not have my Mileage Plus number (their bad - we all had to give it when we signed up). Made the phone call to give them the number. Still no miles. Paying too much for long distance if I don't get miles.

anyone have a number I can call to get PCS to sign me up for United miles? I've also got a corporate discount, but in the past they told me I wasn't eligible. I've been a PCS customer for about 2.5 years, and want the United miles!

ok..
about the corporate discount + miles issue
just called united... and they gave me a number to call.. 1-866-996-4537
the automated number seemed to accept all the info, and said my miles should show up in about 4-6 weeks.
anyone tried this?

Beware, the UA Sprint PCS 1,000 mile offer says that by accepting you are extending your Sprint contract for another year.
Isn't there any other program that provides miles/points for Sprint PCS similar to the miles for the long-distance service???

According to a rep who did at least 45 minutes of research (and called me back), SprintPCS does not offer ANY bonus miles on ANY airline in connection with the monthly invoice amounts. Northwest & Alaska used to be 5 or 7 miles per dollar on each invoice.
Now all bonus miles are only in connection with promotions, not invoices.
In other words, they gave me 2,500 UAL bonus miles when I switched from the expired WorldPerks plan to MileagePlus. There will be another 2,500 bonus for me in a few months. But other than that, I am not going to see any more miles from SprintPCS.
Is anyone anywhere getting bonus miles for their SprintPCS invoice amounts? I'm dying to prove that rep wrong.

has anyone figured out a way to get miles for "national volume" accounts? I get a discount but i want the miles too http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Can anyone second what DJMeatBall mentioned?
Is this the new policy?
Just spent tons of time on hold with SprintPCS agent. She looked into it with two supervisors and called me back telling me that they have added my USAirways account number and would start earning points on invoice charges.
We'll see......

let me know if you get USScareways points.... I suspect there are plenty of clueless SprintPCS agents out there, but I really want to know whether one gets points for the amounts spent on monthly invoices or not.
I was told this isn't happening anymore. You were told they are.

I've gotten e-mails from three different SprintPCS reps and all say that you get a one-time bonus which also gives you a year contract with PCS - NO POINTS FOR MONTHLY INVOICES.
Time to switch wireliness business.
