Phones Programs/Partners - Can't earn WP miles from Earthlink unless you subscribe to Sprint

Anyone heard this? Since sometime last year, until about July of this year, I was a subscriber of Earthlink, Sprint long distance, and Sprint PCS, and regularly earning miles from each of them. Then I dropped Sprint LD for another long distance subscriber. My WP miles for long distance of course stopped, but interestingly enough (coincidence or not?), my Earthlink miles also stopped. After numerous calls to Northwest, Earthlink, and Sprint (with the normal fingerpointing), I was finally told today by Sprint (as the conduit of the WP miles) that I cannot earn Earthlink miles unless I have a Sprint LD account. This was all new to me, and I'm not sure I believe it yet.

This is the first time I have heard this. I don't believe this is true. Checkon NW's website and you should see that Earthlink is one of the partners to earn mileage. FWIW, I do have Sprint PCS and have been getting miles from them. I do not have Spint for LD.
