Phones Programs/Partners - an I get miles for someone else's account?

A friend is signing up for an MCI plan and I am wondering if they put my AAdvantage number in there account will I receive miles. (I already have my AAdvantage numbe in my account.)
So they question is (I guess) do they check names against account numbers or am I in the clear?

Tried that once. They don't check names but they will see that another account is already receiving miles for phone service. They won't allow that.
