Apparently Delta has signed on with AT&T as their new telcom partner. 5,000 mile sign-up bonus.

It is 1,000 miles/month for 5 months.

I just signed up and was told the 5000 miles would post as a one-time bonus following changeover of services. I think I probably just had someone who didn't know. I had to remind him that he needed to take my Skymiles number also.

I re-enrolled in june w\att&t for their $45 check(had previously enrolled in 11\01 for 5k marriott points then switched to mci for 5k miles)I was just told by att&t that I could change my "new" plan from marriott to delta, AND still get the 5,000 mile bonus (1 k per month for 5 months).
So, it appears that existing at&t members can sometimes get the 5 k bonus, even though the data on delta's webpage says that you can't.

A different operator had previously said that I wasn't eligible for the 5k miles bonus and that I'd only get it if I went 6 months as a non-att&t customer. It pays to call back for a 2d opinion!!
The program starts 10\1, BTW.

As an update to my earlier post, it appears that at&t will not give existing customers 5k (despite what the earlier operator told me). I called to confirm my enrollment, and the 5k bonus, and was told that this definitely would NOT be provided as I was an existing customer. After I threatened to go to MCI, they did offer me 1,000 miles to stay with them, however.

Be careful....

I signed up for this promo back in early October at the special number listed here. I received the first AT&T statement.

It had no mention of Delta Skymiles anywhere so I decided to call up AT&T to verify I am signed up. They said I am not signed up at all.

I had to give all the Delta info again.

The agent I spoke with says I will still get the 5k bonus and 5 miles per dollar.

We will see if they live up to their promise.

Any other experiences out there?

Exactly duplicated what Chix experienced. Called today to check on my 9.20 enrollment. CSR said that no record of enrollment. She enrolled me.
I then asked to speak to a supervisor. He redated my enrollment to 10.1. Apparently even though the press release was dated 9.18, AT&T did not have DL set up at their mileage programs desk until 10.1. But AT&T did not have any delay in switching my phone from MCI and start the billing. Supervisor said that there was such overwhelming response (don't you love those words!) to the AT&T/DL partnership, that they were swamped with enrollments and are still working off the initial bubble.
SUGGEST THAT EVERY PERSON WHO THOUGHT THEY ENROLLED CALL TO CONFIRM. I was told that a confirmation letter would be sent within 30 days - we will see. And that the 1000 per month bonus for 5 months as well as the 5 miles per eligible dollar spent would credit to the SkyMiles account within 10-12 weeks.

I had a similar problem when I signed up for the ATT/CO promo a while back. They managed to forget about my 5k miles, too -- until I called...

I'd suggest you call to check no matter which promo you've signed up for.

I have the same problem with At&T, I sign up on November, I never see the mile, I called 1/24/03, they said they don't have my DL number, I have to give the DL number again. I have to start it over again, I have to wait till March to see the bonus.
Today, I sign MCI for NW special bonus 10K.
I hate AT&T...

My story is even better. I signed up for the Delta Promotion. When I didn't get miles after ages and ages, I called up, got a gal on the phone who said I was absolutley entitled to at least 4000 already and to stay on the line while she arranged the posting. Got back on and told me I was signed up with American Airlines. I told her I was not, never got miles on American and wanted Delta. Her answer: I would have to start all over, my four months of AT&T would be a loss and that's all she could do. I cancelled AT&T and will NEVER use them again.
